This is the free browser version from my countdown project. It’s running right here, using your device’s clock. No setup needed.
Leave it open for a little while: seasonal visitors occasionally cross the screen. The countdown follows your local date and time.
Unzip the download and open index.html. It works offline, too. This demo is the screen version; the LED sign is a separate build.

Want to make the LED sign?
I built a standalone version with an LED panel and a small Wi-Fi board. The article covers the parts, the wrong panel I bought first, and the optional digital download of the sign code, settings template and setup guide. No hardware is included: you buy the LED panel, board, power supply and cables separately.
